Intolerance: 'Da Vinci Code' Filming in Midlothian

Rosslyn Chapel A film based on the best-selling novel 'The Da Vinci Code' is to be shot at 'Rosslyn Chapel' in Midlothian. 'The Rosslyn Trust' has agreed terms with a 'Hollywood' production company to allow the movie, starring Mr.Tom Hanks, to film there in 2005-09. Mr.Dan BrownThe thriller by Mr.Dan Brown has sold 17 million copies worldwide. The chapel saw a huge surge in visitor numbers after the plot suggested the 15th century chapel was built to house 'The Holy Grail'. Mr.Stewart Beattie, of 'The Rosslyn Trust', said he was confident the trustees would feel the film was value for money. It was expected location fees alone would generate 100_000_GBP. However, Mr.Andrew Sinclair, a descendent of the family that founded the chapel, claimed filming would ruin the chapel's reputation.
